World Vets Team Provides Education & Veterinary Services in Samoa
World Vets volunteer speaking in front of Samoan school children
World Vets volunteers were recently hard at work on the Samoan islands of Upolu and Sevai'i doing everything from spay and neuter clinics, educational lectures, and even having some fun with kids at two Special Olympic health fairs.
While they were there, they witnessed a culture very different from their own, where community and sharing are very much the way of life. Along with the U.S. service members and other partner nations participating in the Pacific Partnership 2013 mission, they integrated into the different villages of Samoa working to better their communities and the health of both the people and the animals in them.

World Vets Brings Veterinary Care to Remote Region in Guatemala
Surgical patients being picked up by World Vets "water taxi"
World Vets recently operated a pilot project on the Atlantic Coast of Guatemala. This project entailed 7 hours of travel from the capital city by both van and boat for our veterinary team.
The veterinary services provided by our team were a great luxury for local cats and dogs as the opportunity for veterinary services in the area are hard to come by. Many communities, such as Livingston, are only accessible by boat making veterinary care among other things a challenge.
Our team traveled by boat each day to reach their clinic site. They even picked up surgical patients along the way and brought them back home at the end of day.
During our stay we provided a large scale sterilization campaign as well as health consultations and treatments which benefited more than 300 animals. We even saw patients "after hours" on the dock of team accommodations during the evening along the river.
A donation to World Vets keeps our veterinary and training programs running. It also makes a difference in the lives of all the animals impacted by our aid worldwide each year. With your support we can continue to help these animals in need.
World Vets is a registered 501c3. All donations to World Vets are tax deductible.
