Dear Friend,

Mid-February already... how did that happen!?! We missed a January update to you, but it wasn't because we were snoozing. 2012 has taken off like a rocket and promises to be a very interesting year.

We pulled back from the work for a couple months after our daughter Amber Joy passed in October. It was a painful time for our family, but by God's grace we are coming through. We love Amber dearly and think of her daily; she was such a gifted young lady. The work she poured her heart into here in Thailand will go on. We will also be opening a baby's home in her honor. Amber loved to help babies that were throwaways or had challenges. And of course Cathy wants to help the twins and multiple birth children.

January was our month to step back in the race... it has been a sprint ever since! Our staff and family had spent considerable time in fasting and prayer the latter part of last year and the fruit is evident. There are open heavens everywhere we turn; worship is heavenly, outreach is dynamic and lives on every front seem to be transforming. There is such a peace upon the work here in Thailand....God's grace is evident.

We landed back in Chiangmai and stepped right into a conference conducted by Team International where Charlie was a keynote speaker. The theme was Stopping Child Trafficking; many of the movers and shakers that are effectively tackling this epidemic in Thailand were present. Our 25 years experience added much to the meetings.

Breaking Ground at Ban Den... After much red tape and ridiculous delays, we are finally able to break ground at the new Ban Den Dormitory Facility. Money has been raised for the electric, the water system and the construction of the meeting hall. All focus will now be on raising the $31,000.00 needed for the first dormitory.

Huey Gnu Luang Church DedicationAnother Church Dedicated... Sunday February 5th we dedicated another church at Huey Gnu Luang Village. Literal translation, "Yellow Snake Village." I assured our guest they didn't need to worry about the yellow snakes as the villagers already made snake curry with them. It was a beautiful celebration with nearly 400 people packing the church and overflow area outside. The new church was fairly close to our Mae La Noi Children's Home and our youth helped to paint the church the day before dedication....I was impressed at how well they did. I think we found a new paint team. We have built over 100 churches already and hope to escalate that pace beginning this year. Our goal is 1000....we need to get busy!

We have been blessed with some wonderful guest in Thailand this month. Pastor Rick Sharkey and team from Spokane, Washington and Pastor Paul Young and team from Salem, Oregon. Every aspect of our ministry has been impacted by our guest.

We will close for now....we will do our best to get back on board with our monthly communications. Thank you for your part in our life and ministry....without you, it just wouldn't be the same!

God Bless You Richly!
