Siemens We Can Change the World Challenge
The Siemens We Can Change the World Challenge at the elementary school level is designed to help students work together to solve an environmental problem in their classroom or school community. The Siemens We Can Change the World Challenge offers students the opportunity to use science, math, and reading/language arts concepts and skills to create sustainable, reproducible environmental improvements. This scholarship is open to all elementary school classes in grades K-5 with a class advisor/mentor, who must be a full-time or part-time school employee.

Get Ur Good On Grants
Get Ur Good On Grants offer young people around the world an opportunity to help make a lasting positive change. Youth, ages 5-25 worldwide are eligible to apply for a $500 Get Ur Good On Grant to support youth-led projects. Projects must address a demonstrated community need or issue. Michigan Humanities Council Major Grant Program
The Michigan Humanities Council (MHC) is accepting applications from Michigan nonprofits interested in applying for a major grant award. The MHC Major Grant Program emphasizes collaboration among cultural, educational, and community-based organizations and institutions in order to serve Michigan's people with public humanities programming. The resulting grant projects should have a humanities focus with an intent to connect Michigan's cultural heritage and historical resources while helping people learn from each other.

2013 Banking on Youth Competition
The Consumer Bankers Foundation (CBF) and banks from all across the country have partnered with Ashoka's Youth Venture to create the Banking on Youth competition. This competition provides youth an opportunity to showcase their exceptional ideas for benefiting society and creating positive social change. Youth between the ages 13-22 are invited to share their ideas for sustainable ventures that will directly benefit society for a chance to win one of 30 $1,000 seed money grants, a trip to the Ashoka Future Forum, and two grand prizes of $5,000 and $15,000.

The NFL Youth Football Field Grants
Sponsored by the National Football League (NFL) Foundation, the Local Initiatives Support Consortium's NFL Youth Football Fund is designed to address the shortage of clean, safe, and accessible football fields in low- and moderate-income neighborhoods. The program provides financial and technical assistance to nonprofit neighborhood-based organizations working to improve local football fields. The program offers two levels of support: general field support grants, which provide up to $50,000 for capital projects not associated specifically with the field surface; and field surface grants, which provide matching grants of up to $200,000 to help finance the resurfacing of a football field and the installation of synthetic sports turf. In addition, a smaller number of matching grants of up to $100,000 are available to help finance the resurfacing of a field with natural grass or sod. All grant funds must be used for capital expenditures and may not be used to maintain field surfaces.

Opal Apple Youth Make a Difference Initiative Grants

The McCarthey Dressman Education Foundation Academic Enrichment Grant
The McCarthey Dressman Education Foundation is seeking proposals through their Academic Enrichment Grant Program that foster understanding, deepen students' knowledge, and provide opportunities to expand awareness of the world around them. The Academic Enrichment Grants provide funding for programs that nurture the intellectual, artistic and creative abilities of children from low-income households through in-class and extra-curricular programs that improve student learning. Are you an educator with a class project that is short on funding but long on potential? Do you know a teacher looking for grant dollars? ING Unsung HeroesŪ could help you turn great ideas into reality for students. For more than 15 years, and with nearly $3.8 million in awarded grants, ING Unsung Heroes has proven to be an A+ program with educators. The program's "alumni" have inspired success in the classroom and impacted countless numbers of students. Each year, 100 educators are selected to receive $2,000 to help fund their innovative class projects. Three of those are chosen to receive the top awards of an additional $5,000, $10,000 and $25,000. All K-12 education professionals, whether or not they are clients of ING, are eligible.

J-Serve International Day of Jewish Youth Service Grants
J-Serve is the International Day of Jewish Youth Service and has been part of Youth Service America's Global Youth Service Day since 2005. In 2013, J-Serve will be held on April 28. A limited number of J-Serve micro-grants of up to $500 will be awarded to community projects committed to creating service opportunities that bring Jewish teens together to participate in a J-Serve project. Projects that are creative and innovative, especially those that will be first-time events in a community, as well as projects conceived and planned by teen project leaders will receive preferential reviews.

The Dollar General School Library Relief Fund
Dollar General, in collaboration with the American Library Association (ALA), the American Association of School Librarians (AASL), and the National Education Association (NEA), is sponsoring a school library disaster relief fund for public school libraries in the states served by Dollar General. The fund will provide grants to public schools whose school library program has been affected by a disaster and can be used to replace or supplement books, media and/or library equipment in the school library setting. Grants will be awarded to public school libraries that have incurred substantial damage or hardship due to a natural disaster (tornado, earthquake, hurricane, flood, avalanche, and mudslide), fire or an act recognized by the federal government as terrorism. The impact can be through direct loss or through an increase in enrollment due to displaced/evacuee students.
