To address childhood hunger in the United States, generationOn is calling on youth to respond to the question, "What Will You Bring to the Table?" Eligible projects will bring youth to the table to conduct service activities that address the issue of childhood hunger in the United States. generationOn will award mini-grants in the amount of $250 each to support 'What Will You Bring to the Table?' service projects. These projects MUST take place between March 18th and April 30th, 2013.

Mid-MI Program for Greater Sustainability- Community Reinvestment Fund Grants
The Mid-Michigan Program for Greater Sustainability is a regional initiative designed to expand and improve the planning process for housing, transportation, green infrastructure, energy efficiency, environmental issues, economic development, education, and more. The Community Reinvestment Fund was established to ensure that traditionally underserved and marginalized populations have the opportunity to become involved in these planning processes at all levels of government. The fund is currently seeking unique approaches to reaching these unrepresented and underrepresented communities and groups that will result in these populations becoming involved in the planning process. This involvement may include serving on planning boards, councils, and commissions, or participating in community planning forums. Successful applicants will submit proposals that actively, creatively, and measurably engage traditionally underserved and marginalized populations in the planning process at all levels of government.

Sodexo Foundation Youth Grants
Youth Service America (YSA) and the Sodexo Foundation invite young people to "take hunger personally" and join the fight to end childhood hunger for the 16 million children in food insecure homes. Sodexo Foundation Youth Grants of $500 are available for youth-led service projects that bring together young people, families, Sodexo employees, and other community members to address childhood hunger in the U.S. Young people, ages 5-25, are eligible to apply. Projects must take place on or around Global Youth Service Day, April 26-28, 2013.

Saginaw Community Foundation
The Saginaw Community Foundation provides support for a wide variety of programs and purposes benefiting the citizens and communities of Saginaw County. They are currently accepting applications for their Unrestricted Grants Program and the YWCA Fund for Women and Girls Program. The Unrestricted Grants Program is an all-purpose grants program, providing funding for various projects that meet basic eligibility requirements. Areas of interest include: arts, education, health, civic improvement, human services, environment, and youth. Organizations applying for this grant may request up to $10,000 per application. The YWCA grant program focuses on the physical, mental and educational needs or women and girls in the community. The YMCA Fund for Women & Girls Program provides funding that benefits women and children physically, educationally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.

Great Lakes Restoration Initiative Joint Venture Habitat Restoration and Protection
The goal of the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative is to target the most significant environmental problems in the Great Lakes ecosystem by funding and implementing federal projects that address these problems. As part of this initiative, the two bird habitat joint ventures that are in the Great Lakes watershed: the Upper Mississippi and Great Lakes Region Joint Venture and the Atlantic Coast Joint Venture will be working with the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration programs in the Midwest and Northeast Regions of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to competitively fund state and other partner projects for long-term habitat restoration, enhancement, or protection, for the conservation of native Great Lakes fish and wildlife populations, particularly migratory birds.

VA Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program
Veteran Affairs (VA) has been authorized to offer community-based grants through the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) Program. These grants will provide supportive services to very low-income Veteran families in or transitioning to permanent housing. Under the SSVF program, VA awards grants to private non-profit organizations and consumer cooperatives who can provide supportive services to very low-income Veteran families living in or transitioning to permanent housing. Grantees provide eligible Veteran families with outreach, case management, and assistance in obtaining VA and other benefits, which may include: health care services, daily living services, personal financial planning services, transportation services, fiduciary and payee services, legal services, child care services, and housing counseling services.

Big Read
The Big Read is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts, designed to revitalize the role of literature in American culture and to encourage citizens to read for pleasure and enlightenment. Air Force Association - Air Force Junior ROTC Grants
The Air Force Association (AFA) is a non-profit, independent, professional military and aerospace education association promoting public understanding of aerospace power and the pivotal role it plays in the security of the nation. It sponsors professional development seminars and recognizes excellence in the education and aerospace fields through national awards programs. In addition to presenting scholarships and grants to Air Force active duty, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve members and their dependents, AFA also awards educator grants to promote science and math education at the elementary and secondary school level. The Air Force Junior ROTC Grant was established to promote aerospace education throughout classrooms and units. Funds may be used for any aerospace education related activity from purchasing textbooks or videotapes, to going on a field trip to an aerospace museum, Air Force base, or other aerospace facility.

Katie's Krops Grants
The mission of Katie's Krops is to start and maintain vegetable gardens of all sizes and donate the harvest to help feed people in need, as well as to assist and inspire others to do the same. The grant winners will receive materials to start a vegetable garden to feed people in need in their community. The winner will be awarded a gift card to a garden center in their area for $400, support from Katie's Krops, and a digital camera to document the garden and the harvest. Applications for all types of vegetable gardens, such as a container garden if you live in a city, or a vegetable garden in your neighborhood or at your school, will be considered.

Educational Success & Healthy Lifestyles 2013 Grantmaking Program

The Taco Bell Foundation for Teens supports nonprofit organizations that provide teens with career, community, and education experiences that inspire them to stay in school and graduate. Captain Planet Foundation Grants

J-Serve International Day of Jewish Youth Service Grants
J-Serve is the International Day of Jewish Youth Service and has been part of Youth Service America's Global Youth Service Day since 2005. In 2013, J-Serve will be held on April 28. A limited number of J-Serve micro-grants of up to $500 will be awarded to community projects committed to creating service opportunities that bring Jewish teens together to participate in a J-Serve project. Projects that are creative and innovative, especially those that will be first-time events in a community, as well as projects conceived and planned by teen project leaders will receive preferential reviews.

The Dollar General School Library Relief Fund
Dollar General, in collaboration with the American Library Association (ALA), the American Association of School Librarians (AASL), and the National Education Association (NEA), is sponsoring a school library disaster relief fund for public school libraries in the states served by Dollar General. The fund will provide grants to public schools whose school library program has been affected by a disaster and can be used to replace or supplement books, media and/or library equipment in the school library setting. Grants will be awarded to public school libraries that have incurred substantial damage or hardship due to a natural disaster (tornado, earthquake, hurricane, flood, avalanche, and mudslide), fire or an act recognized by the federal government as terrorism. The impact can be through direct loss or through an increase in enrollment due to displaced/evacuee students.
