Department News    |    Calendar    |    Reminders    |    Community Bulletin    |    Connect

Greetings!

This month's student update is brought to you by

Clare Geraghty '13, student body president.

After an exciting February of shortened weeks, March kicked in with full force this week! In this time of Lent, religion classes have been going to the Chapel to receive the sacrament of Reconciliation during the school day. This Friday, our women's varsity basketball team advances to the regional finals against Carroll.

Monday begins Ohio Graduation Test (OGT) week, which means all students except for sophomores will be on a late start every day. Sophomores (and any juniors or seniors who haven't fulfilled the requirement) must make sure to take their tests seriously as they must be passed in order to graduate.

This month, Eagles will be especially spread across the world. Juniors going on the Spain Trip departed today and will be exploring parts of Madrid and Barcelona for a week, while the Senior Trip is March 11-15. Seniors who have chosen to venture to the nation's capital, Washington D.C., will explore the city and enjoy time with classmates before graduation.

GO EAGLES!

ATTN PARENTS OF SENIORS
Dayton Montgomery County Scholarship Deadlines
If your son or daughter was eligible for the Dayton Montgomery County Scholarship (eligible students received a letter with log-in information in January) and will be going on Senior Trip next week, he or she needs to return an application and the following three supporting documents to the guidance office by tomorrow:
  1. A copy of the 2-page scholarship application, signed by the student and/or parent (if the student is not 18)
  2. The first page of the Student Aid Report (SAR) from FAFSA that includes the EFC number. (If you are having trouble printing, go to fafsa.ed.gov, log in to the student's profile using their PIN number and make sure all pop-up blockers are turned off. The Internet Explorer browser works best.)
  3. A copy of the acceptance letter from the college that is the student's first choice.
If you have questions about this process or the materials needed to apply, email or contact Kelly Muhl, administrative assistant in guidance, at 461-3740 x243.
