Greetings!
With construction on the second floor, one of my top priorities continues to be decreasing the impact to our students while maintaining quality of campus safety. To this end, please be aware of the following student safety procedures now in place.
Student drop-off and pick-up along Franklin Street is only permitted on the eastbound curb nearest the school. This will eliminate the need for students to cross traffic to get to CJ entrances. Due to increased congestion caused by the construction dumpster, we ask you to be extremely cautious, extra patient and even more aware of students and other cars when traveling through this area. Avoid double parking and allow for loading and unloading of passengers. We appreciate your continued patience and understanding.
I am pleased to announce that testing of our new fire drill routes this week was a success even when taking into account the hallway and stairwell construction barriers that are now in place. Our exit during the drill on Tuesday was one of the fastest evacuations I have witnessed. Like always, our students rise to the occasion.
If you have not seen our new construction barrier walls yet, you can view photos on my blog. As always, please don't hesitate to share your comments, questions or concerns with me directly or at our upcoming Co-Educators meeting this Monday.
God bless,
John Marshall, Principal | email
