IBPA Publishing University 2014
Greetings!

October 29, 2013 - Welcome to another issue of "Independent Publishing Now" celebrating YOU, our members!

Today is National Cat Day and according to The Big New Yorker Book of Cats it should be celebrated, as cats have a "long history as literary muses, poetic devices and creative catalysts." And, tomorrow is Checklists Day, the day set aside to appreciate the value of checklists. Okay, so we celebrated Cat Day - check!

What are you checking off your lists this month? IBPA's Terry Nathan and Angela Bole just returned from a successful Frankfurt Fair (check!) where they represented IBPA member titles for foreign rights sales opportunities. You can see the show report here. While there, our Executive Director, Angela Bole, sat down with the Copyright Clearance Center for a quick podcast about growing your association, the definition of publishing and more. Check it out here!

If you've discovered a helpful site, found a better way of doing something or have a tip that will save other members time or money, please pass it along and we'll share it on your behalf.

And, as always, if you have a question, remember to give us a call, anytime. If we don't have the answer, we'll find it for you!
