Suzanne Cane and Janet Chapple enjoyed lots of sales while camped outside the Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone National Park earlier this summer to promote their titles, Yellowstone, Land of Wonders, and the third edition of Yellowstone Treasures. While discussing their books in front of the indicator clock that shows passers-by the prediction time for the next eruption of Old Faithful Geyser
(many of whom wanted to know more than "when is the next eruption" and "where is the bathroom"), they gave away a bonus 2010 Yellowstone quarter (part of the national parks series) to each buyer.
Publisher/author, Jerry craft just finished his newest middle grade novel, The Offenders: Saving the World While Serving Detention! It's the story of five 6th-grade bullies who develop super powers, but instead of turning into cool heroes like Spider-Man or Superman, they take on the characteristics of the kids they bully. This project is a labor of love for Jerry who wrote it with his two teenage sons Jaylen (15) and Aren (13). Aren recently appeared on HuffPost Live along with Drew Pearce, the writer of Iron Man 3, who also gave them a blurb for the cover of the book. The Offenders has also been chosen by a school in upstate NY for their "One School One Read" program for October, which is National Bullying Prevention Month. Yay, Jerry!
