We Have A New Look!

DMM's new logo is a modern day version of a cornucopia which has a rich history dating back to 5 B.C. and Greek mythology.

The Story Behind Our New Logo

The Roman Goddess of Abundance was named Copia which in Latin actually means "abundance" or "plenty" as well as "resources", "wealth", and "opportunity". Cornucopia is derived from two Latin words: "cornu," meaning horn and "copia" meaning plenty. That's why cornucopia and horn of plenty are often used interchangeably as a symbol of abundance. A cornucopia is the legendary magic horn that gives one all they could desire. In more recent times, cornucopia is associated with the celebration of gratitude- Thanksgiving.

Our goal as a financial planners and investment advisors is to empower clients to experience "financial serenity" by embracing their abundance with a spirit of gratitude.

Jenn's Image of Confluence

When our client and graphic artist, Jenn Goodrich, originally started working with us on a new logo the word that kept coming to us was - confluence.   Confluence is the coming or flowing together of separate entities, most commonly two bodies of water. Jenn's image of a confluence reminded us of our work in bringing together the many different aspects of a client's financial life and personal goals into one steady stream headed in a single direction with purpose, focus, and discipline.

We even contemplated changing the name of the firm to "Confluence Financial Advisors" or "Confluence Financial Planners" because the names were better descriptors of our work with clients. Our internet advisors suggested the words "Denver", "money", and "manager" would attract more visitors to our website so we abandoned the name change.

Our Inter-Generational Work

Cornucopia and Confluence also symbolize the inter-generational work that we are doing with families in the transference of money values and financial stewardship from one generation to the next. We have even modified our fees to make it more affordable for client's parents and children to access our advice.

New Team Responsibilities

The timing of the new look also reflects changes in team responsibilities. Effective January 2014, Aaron Grey CFP® was appointed the Managing Partner of the firm. He has distinguished himself as an outstanding financial planner and capable business executive. He is the leader of our professional team.

Joel Martin, our resident MBA, has matured into an expert retirement plan advisor to businesses and is a candidate for the Certified Financial Planner® designation while working on his second MBA.

Rob and Paula continue to be active in working with clients, promoting the business, and assisting with management. Everyone is an owner.

We are grateful for our relationship with clients and the trust and confidence that they place in our financial partnership. Our partnership is a confluence of abundance and gratitude.

Sincerely,

The Denver Money Manager Team
