Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team in the tasks of designing, animating, lighting and compositing high quality effects through to completion.
  • Design and create reusable FX rigs with documentation for partner studios.
  • Responsible for managing the FX pipeline. Appropriately leverage MEL and Python tools as needed.
  • Work with partner studio to develop and implement assets.

 

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience working within a 3D production pipeline. TV production experiences a plus.
  • Strong understanding of Maya dynamics. Knowledge of rigid bodies, nCloth, nParticiples, fluid systems and soft bodies.
  • Extensive understanding of MEL and Real FLOW. Experience in Python and Particle Illusion a plus.
  • Strong background in rendering. Knowledge of Mental Ray and Vray and building its shading networks.
  • Experience in advanced compositing and knowledge of Nuke or other node based compositing software.
  • May need to travel to partner studio.
