Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with Modeler / Character Leads to ensure all deliverables are achievable and align with production schedule.
  • Work with Modeler / Character Leads to create rigs for characters and complex props.
  • Responsible for character set-up including rigging, weighting and skinning.
  • Work with partner studio to create and implement assets.
  • Utilize Mel scripting to implement new tools and / or techniques.
  • Responsible for ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and according toproduction standards.
  • Provide overview notes to help crew members understand the goals for the designs that align with the episode objectives.
  • Work closely with partner studio to ensure all Char TD work (both creative and technical) are adhered to while ensuring scheduled deadlines are met.
  • Provide recommendations and suggestions for designs and animatics while ensuring timelines are met.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of industry experience in TV animation, film, broadcast, and/or games.
  • Prior TV experience working in a fast paced environment.
  • Extensive Maya knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of IK and FK systems.
  • Knowledge of skin weights.
  • Strong aesthetic ability
  • Strong problem solving abilities.
  • May require travel to partner studios
