Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for creating all models including environments, props, and some characters.
- Ensure that all assets are rigged that are included in the environment. UV unwrap the environment model.
- Once crew members submit assets for approval provide first round notes and approval.
- Generate overview notes for the designs that help to ensure that the requirements for the episode are met and help the artists to achieve the work delegated to them.
- Work with the Character Leads for Modeling and Char TD to ensure that the work is managed according to the production schedule.
- Responsible for ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and according to production standards.
- Ensure clear modeling and rigging production standards for the partner studio are put into place for each set design. Provide thorough of set models upon completion.
- Ensure that creative and technical Modeling standards are adhered to by partner studio within the confines of the productionschedule.
- Provide recommendation and suggestions for designs and animatics while ensuring timelines are met.
- Develop assets for implementation by working closely with the partner studio.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of industry experience in film, broadcast, and/or games
- Advanced knowledge of hard surface environments, props and organic models.
- Intricate understanding of Maya's referencing system. Ability to organize complex hierarchies, create lo res proxies, and utilizing IK - FK - and Deformer based rigs.
- Solid modeling and rigging skills.
- Prior experience leading a small team within production schedule confines.
- Creative problem solving skills and adaptability skills.
- May require travel to partner studios.
