Summary:
Able to lead a team, follow concept art and reference material, and have a critical eye for all work coming out of the department, Leverage strong organizational skills, problem solving abilities, creativity and resourcefulness to oversee a team on timely deliverables of assignments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate team on the texture painting of 3D to CG characters, props, and sets. Utilize Photoshop, Maya, and BodyPaint.
- Able to align with style of the show andutilize specific styles to texture characters, props, and sets.
- Set up Maya shaders/shader networks and utilize shaders to consistently achieve desired looks for the season.
- Review UV's for texturing as needed.
- Collaborate with partner studios to create, develop and implement assets.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in the television, feature film or gaming industries.
- Advanced background in Maya including understanding of the Maya Shading network.
- Strong background in texture painting, color theory and application.
- Able to paint, texture and demonstrate strong artistic skills. Experience creating high quality texture maps, including all supporting maps (transparency, specular, bump, etc).
- Understanding of the CG pipeline, UV layout and principles.
- Muddbox andUV unwrapping skills a plus, but are not required.
- Excellent organizational skills needed as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible to changes, able to multitask, prioritize and follow through on requests.
- Ability to lead a team and collaborate well with partner studios.
- May need to travel to partner studios.
