5 Million and Counting!
|
Congratulations to the Jefferson Avenue North Assembly Plant on their 5 Millionth Jeep!!  Twenty one years! That's a pretty special milestone among milestones. To most of us it represents a big change, a moving on, a new beginning. Fitting then that 21 years ago a brand new Jefferson Avenue North Assembly Plant celebrated production of a brand new vehicle ... the Jeep® Grand Cherokee. In January 1992, the very first Jeep Grand Cherokee rolled off the JNAP assembly line. Fast forward to August 13, 2013. That same excitement rippled through JNAP as the plant celebrated the 5 millionth vehicle to roll off the production line. In the past, JNAP built the Jeep Commander, and is currently home to the Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango. Chrysler Group executives - Senior Vice President, Manufacturing and World Class Manufacturing Scott Garberding; Director and Head of Jeep Product Marketing Jim Morrison, and Vice President of Assembly Operations and Head of World Class Manufacturing Mauro Pino were joined by UAW Assistant Director Virdell King in congratulating the JNAP workforce, past and present, for a job well done! Some 50 JNAP employees (pictured above), each with 30 or more years with the plant, were front-and- center as the 5 millionth vehicle, a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland, was driven into the staging area and parked right next to a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee. A lot has changed over those 21 years, but certainly not the can-do spirit these employees all feel, or the commitment of the brand to support our returning U.S. military heroes. In fact, the keys to the Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland were presented this morning to USO President and CEO Sloan Gibson in honor of that on-going partnership. |

Lakenya Doss, Office Manager Lakenya Doss is our Office Manager at Dick Scott Nissan in Canton, MI. She attended Finney High School and Schoolcraft College and currently lives in Detroit. She has been in the auto industry for 17 years and has been with Dick Scott for almost 2 years. Her favorite part of her job are her co-workers. In her free time Lakenya enjoys cooking, bowling, traveling, shopping and spending time with her family, especially her 3 year old Grandson, Khi. Lakenya is a very down to earth person who enjoys life with a commitment to herself to always strive to be the best at what she does. When asked who the most import person in her life is, she answered her mother; "because she is the strongest woman I know and she raised me to become the woman I am and for that I am totally grateful." Her favorites are; Food: Steak, Pork Chops, Chicken, Fish, Lobster & Shrimp; Movie: Sex in The City; Book/Author: The Bible, T.D. Jakes & Steve Harvey. She also enjoys party planning any event or occasion and is a great personal shopper! Lakenya currently drives a White, 2012 Nissan Maxima Premium Sport and someday dreams of owning a Red Convertible Bentley Coupe! Recipe Of The Month!

 | | Stuffed Zucchini Boats |
What You Need
2 large zucchini (1 lb.), parboiled
¾ cup KRAFT 2% Milk Shredded Mozzarella Cheese, divided
1 small tomato, finely chopped
10 buttery crackers, finely crushed
1 tsp. dried basil leaves
Make It
How to parboil zucchinis
Bring 2 qt. unsalted water to boil in large saucepan. Add zucchini; cook 6 to 8 min. or until fork-tender. Drain.
PREHEAT oven to 375°F. Cut zucchini lengthwise in half; scoop out centers onto cutting board, leaving 1/4-inch-thick shells. Place shells in 9-inch square baking dish; set aside.
CHOP zucchini pulp; place in medium bowl. Add 1/2 cup of the cheese, the tomatoes, cracker crumbs and basil; mix lightly. Spoon evenly into zucchini shells; sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup cheese.
BAKE 15 min. or until heated through.
