The 2013 Nissan Xterra
|  Meet the 2013 Nissan Xterra up close and personal! The adventure-ready Nissan Xterra continues to combine power, utility, value and authenticity again in 2013. Xterra's distinct "multi-flex" interior provides an abundance of useable space, storage and convenience features - including an available Easy Clean cargo area, Utili-Track® cargo carrying system, tie-down channel system, 10 cargo hooks and built-in first-aid kit. For the 2013 model year, PRO-4X models add updated contrast stitching and seat embroidery, auto on/off headlights, outside temperature display, RearView Monitor and navigation system. Xterra S models add Display Audio with CD/AM/FM/Aux/USB, SiriusXM Satellite Radio (SiriusXM subscription required, sold separately); and all models receive slide-on-rod style sunvisors. Two new exterior colors are also available: Glacier White and Cayenne Red.
The 2013 Xterra is available in three well-equipped models - X, S and PRO-4X - making it easy for buyers to select the exact Xterra model for their particular needs and lifestyles.
All Xterra models feature an advanced 4.0-liter DOHC V6 engine, rated at 261 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque, along with a rugged "F-Alpha" truck platform for adventure-ready performance. The "F-Alpha" platform is shared with the full-size Nissan Titan pickup, Frontier pickup and Armada SUV. Xterra is available with a choice of 6-speed manual (S 4x4 and PRO-4X 4x4 only) or 5-speed automatic transmissions and in a choice of part-time 4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive (PRO-4X available as 4x4 only).
While maintaining its tough gear positioning, Xterra also offers a range of advanced technologies, including Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System, SiriusXM Satellite Radio (SiriusXM subscription required, sold separately) and a Rockford Fosgate® audio system with eight speakers and subwoofer. |

Spring Showers Bring Driving Safety Hazards
Thin tire treads create hazardous driving conditions when water builds up on the roadway, according to the Car Care Council. Deep tread accommodates accumulated water; thin tread does not. Thin tread causes the tire to hydroplane - ride up on a film of water, losing contact with the pavement, similar to driving on ice.
The simplest way to check tire tread depth is with a penny. Insert the penny into the grooves of the tread. If you are able to see all of Lincoln's head, the tire needs replacement.

Bob Morris, Service Technician
Bob is one of our Service Technicians at Dick Scott Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Plymouth, MI. He has been with Dick Scott CDJR for 18 years and in the automotive industry for 33 years total.
Currently, Bob lives in Ypsilanti with his wife Carolyn and their German Shepherd Maggie. He attended Washtenaw Community College and in his spare time he enjoys camping and boating. He is also an artist and enjoys painting with water colors.
His favorites are: Food: Chicken & Dumplings; Movie: Somewhere in Time; Author: Andrea North.
Bob drives a 2003 Dodge Neon. He dreams of owning a 38ft Hunter Sailboat someday!

At the end of each month, your organization will receive

Recipe Of The Month!
|
 | | Bacon & Baked Potato Soup |
What You Need
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine 1/4 cup chopped onions 1/4 cup chopped celery 1 can (14-1/2 oz.) fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth 1-1/4 cups milk 2 baking potatoes, baked, cut into 1/2-inch cubes 1/8 tsp. pepper 8 slices Cut Bacon, cooked, crumbled and divided 3/4 cup Cheddar CLASSIC MELTS Cheddar & American, divided 1 green onion, sliced, divided 1/4 cup Sour Cream Make It
MELT butter in large saucepan or Dutch oven on medium heat. Add onions and celery; cook and stir 5 min. or until crisp-tender. Add next 4 ingredients; bring just to boil, stirring constantly. Slightly crush potatoes with back of spoon. Simmer on medium-low heat 5 min., stirring frequently.
RESERVE 2 Tbsp. each bacon and cheese and 1 Tbsp. green onions; set aside. Add remaining bacon, cheese and green onions to soup; cook until cheese is melted, stirring constantly.
SERVE topped with reserved bacon, cheese, green onions and sour cream.
