July 2015: Dancing with the Darkness
Putney Mountain, VT
Since mid-June when Saturn reentered Scorpio for three months (see last month's report) the darkness is being roto-tilled to expose its contents to the light. It's the nature of Saturn in Scorpio to probe darkness and see what it's made of, so if you're kept awake at night by the tap dancing of skeletons in far fields of consciousness, you're one of many being asked to come out, come out, wherever you are, and dance.
Mars opposing Pluto on July 15 spices the dance by upping its intensity. Mars activates the warrior within, and the opposition with Pluto aims that warrior at the stuck state of our species, a species fighting like crazy to emerge from the dark ages. Wherever you're stuck that's where you get to dance. Whatever dream you left behind is trying to resurrect in a new form. Whatever you're really made of down deep is being urged into the spotlight to shake up the old bones.
How can a species with so much good inside get trapped over and over into acting out its lesser nature?
How can a species capable of awesome compassion wither away its promise in stale reruns of the karmic soap opera of demonizing others just because they're different?
When will the blind greed of our leaders give way to the true leadership of those with real vision and promise who can guide us out of the quagmire of stuck evolution?
This summer Saturn in Scorpio, bolstered by Mars opposing Pluto, is energizing you to find something good and real and strong and positive to believe in, despite outbursts of violence. This scenario is reminiscent of the 60s when the promise of new ideas rose to challenge the status quo amidst clashes of outrage and violence. If you let the intensity of our times strip away your old coating of false security, the raw primal immediacy of dancing with the darkness may ignite the soul force within you to burn away distortion and lies, and open the path of love and truth.
