The Interweaving of Scripture

The 150 psalms naturally fall into five main sections called Books, with each group ending with a doxology. These divisions are:

* Psalms 1-41
* Psalms 42-72
* Psalms 73-89
* Psalms 90-106
* Psalms 107-150

Some believe that these five divisions, in a general way, reflect the main message expressed in the Pentateuch (first five books in the Bible) and were grouped accordingly.

We are reading in Books IV and V this week which would correspond to Numbers and Deuteronomy.

Weekly Encouragement

Five months ago, together we began to read the Bible daily. Our reasons for participating in this Read Along, no doubt, vary greatly; though I can't help but wonder, if perhaps, as we continue to read together, our varied motivations might begin to align as we ourselves are being transformed. Of this I am certain: Whatever our reasons for reading, The Author is at work in and through us. Praise God!
