I hope you like history because here's more -- of the same, pretty much, though not exactly. I & 2 Chronicles read very much like a repeat of I & 2 Kings, although the author writes from a different time period and paints a slightly different picture. Still, it reads like a rehashing of what we just worked through. Keep in mind that the Chronicler writes after the Babylonian exile. It may be helpful to pay less attention to what feels repetitive and focus rather on the differences. What had the exiles learned?

Pay attention to the title given and when finished reading ask yourself: How did that title characterize the reading? You might also ask yourself: What title would I have given this section?
