Dear Friend of the Faith & Life Lectures,

In two weeks, on Thursday, Jan. 29,the 2014-2015 Faith & Life Lecture Series is privileged to present drummer Steve Goold.

Goold is currently the full-time drummer with Grammy-nominated songwriter Sara Bareilles. He has also served as drummer for the platinum-selling pop artist Owl City, and was the drummer and musical director for the kids band Go Fish. Goold holds a faculty position with the music department at Bethel University, and regularly conduct clinics and master classes nationally. He is the founder of The Drumset and the Kingdom, a gathering of Christian drummers seeking to better equip themselves to use the drumset more effectively for their churches and communities.

This free public event begins at 7 p.m. at St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church in Plymouth. I hope you'll be able to join us for this lively presentation, and look forward to seeing you on Jan. 29.

Sincerely,

About Steve Goold

Steve Goold tours full-time with well-known grammy-nominated artist Sara Bareilles, and has performed in venues around the world. In his presentation, he will share some of his thoughts about what it means to be a professional drummer; what his life as a drummer has taught him about his faith; and how his faith informs how he feels called to interact with others in the music world. In between some of these reflections, we'll also have the privilege of listening to him play.
The Faith & Life Lecture Series is a community service of St. Philip the Deacon
Lutheran Church and Mount Olivet Lutheran Church of Plymouth.
