Christmas Care: Gifts and Prayers
Drop Off Date Approaching: Dec. 14!

We have 63 vulnerable adults living in shelters by Medicine Lake and in Minneapolis still hoping for your prayers and Christmas gifts this year. Would you like to help make Christmas warmer and merrier for them? Stop by the narthex to pick up a wish list and instruction letter, shop and pray for your person, and drop off the gifts by Sunday, Dec. 14. Or, email Pastor Strand Patterson for a name and gift list.

Also still in process:
  • Gifts for women and children in Home Free Shelter
  • Hoping for 500 more Great Books for the Great Kids of the Phillips neighborhood (baby through high school)
  • Volunteers for Christmas food baskets on Saturday, Dec. 20 (contact Tami Champeau at tjfchampeau@gmail.com)

Christmas Care: Holiday Store

The Holiday Store this past Saturday was a wonderful experience for 275 children who shopped for gifts for their caregivers Our thanks to all of you who donated 719 gifts, and to the 125 volunteers who bundled, delivered, set up the store, shopped with the children, re-stocked the shelves, and wrapped the gifts. Our SPD volunteers were kind and compassionate and filled with good cheer. Thank you for your generosity!

Great Books are being collected to give to some Great Kids, aged infant to teens. Books with non-violent, multi-cultural content are appreciated. Please include only new books. Bookstore gift cards are also welcome. We're hoping for 500 more books!
