It is going to be a nice fall day tomorrow----no matter what alarming news you hear on the TV (Paula and I have disposed of our TV some time back, by the way). So I suggest you stop by the Newburyport Farmers' Market in the morning and pick up some of the Fall Harvest.
 
The Farmers have been working all day today to have plenty of nice things ready for you. The local Bakers will be busy tonight making those great French Baguettes and wonderful Scones.
 
Come early enough to enjoy a nice Farm fresh breakfast at Kellie Brook Farm. Pick up a Free Range Chicken to bring home and roast. Then buy some of those great Fall vegetables so you can make a nice Chicken Soup with the carcass. Be sure to buy enough apples for a pie---I recommend Cortlands or Northern Spys. And stop by Arrowhead for Salad fixings with fresh greens, Sweet Peppers and those great Heirloom Tomatoes.
 
OK, now head home and spend the afternoon cooking and baking. If the power goes out on Monday you have some great eats ready to go. And if the storm doesn't amount to much---that's the way I read the charts-----then you have the cooking done for the week. You can't lose. See you at the Market!
