Just a couple of quick thoughts.

     This is the last week of the Summer Vegetable Share and the Tree Fruit Share. We will be asking each of you to rate these two Shares, on a scale of one to ten---ten being best, when you pick up your Shares. Thanks----hope to see you at the Farm this weekend----still lots of good stuff to eat.

     The Late Season Share will start next Saturday, November 3rd, and will run until Christmas. If you are planning on participating in the Late Season Share, this weekend will be the last opportunity to sign up without the 5% late charge---so best be about it. As always, payment plans are available.

     Hurricane Sandy promises to be a welcome relief from the drought, here on the Farm, and all across the Northeast. Last Winter, if you recall saw a 6 inch deficit in rainfall. The Spring was also 6 inches short and the Summer saw another 7 inches missing. We need a real good Coastal Storm to help replenish both surface reservoirs and ground water supplies.
