People who wish to vote in the November 4th elections must register to vote by Monday, October 6th.  If you have moved and want to vote in local elections in your new neighborhood, you must update your voter registration by October 6th.  The Travis County Tax Office has more information, and you may even be able to update your voter registration on line.

This will be an historic election from the top of the ballot to the bottom.  For the first time this century, Texans will elect a new Governor.  The City of Austin will launch a new 10-One Single Member District Council with the Mayor elected at-large.  Austin voters will also vote on a $600 million urban rail bond proposition. 

On the education front, voters will elect new Trustees for Austin ISD, Del Valle ISD, Round Rock ISD, and Austin Community College.
