Aller Aqua Group inaugurates its new Egyptian factory
Aller Aqua Group A/S, situated by Christiansfeld in Denmark, is one of Europe's largest producers of environmentally friendly fish feed. The company officially inaugurated the new Egyptian factory on Tuesday 3rd March 2015.

Marine Stewardship Council names Marin Hawk as Fisheries Manager
The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) is pleased to announce Marin Hawk has been named the organization's Fisheries Manager for US Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico fisheries and will be the primary outreach representative for fisheries in these areas.  Previously with the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC),
Ms Hawk is based in MSC's recently opened Washington, DC office.

A message for International Women's Day from Roy Palmer, Aquaculture without Frontiers

Very few women are directly involved in traditional fisheries activities, either due to the physical strain and the long hours away from home and family, or because of social taboos, customs, and beliefs which prohibit them from boarding fishing vessels. Women are thus limited to land-based activities, such as fish handling, processing, distribution, marketing, and net-making/mending.
 
By stark contrast, the role of women in aquaculture, particularly in small fish farms, has long been evident. Women are involved in all sectors of aquaculture and we are proud to be honoring a few them to promote Aquaculture without Frontiers International Woman's Day on 8 March.
