21st Annual Practical Short Course on Aquaculture Feed Extrusion, Nutrition and Feed Management; Sep. 21-26, 2014 A one-week Practical Short Course on Aquaculture Feed Extrusion, Nutrition and Feed Management will be presented on Sep. 21-26, 2014 at Texas A&M University by staff, industry representative and consultants. This program will cover information on designing new feed mills and selecting conveying, drying, grinding, conditioning and feed mixing equipment.
Aquatic China 2014 Throughout the world consumers' behaviour and attitude towards food has been changing and, as a result, the industries supplying food need to focus on the exchange of information in order to meet these new demands.
For example, retailers are demanding traceability; evidence of sustainable environmental activities including welfare (both social and animal) in addition to their usual tight specifications and this is particularly relevant in aquaculture where consumer acceptance is still being questioned.
Consumers are demanding healthier food and questioning the supply chain on all nutritional aspects, from the feed through to the food.
The emphasis of the Aquatic China 2014 two-day conference is creating an opportunity pathway for those in China's aquaculture industry to connect with some of the world's experts on aquaculture research, science, nutrition, feed formulation, economic production, food safety, quality assurance and certification.
Whilst the demand for aquatic food products is on the rise everywhere, the importance of delivering live, fresh, frozen, canned and dried seafood products safely with an extended shelf life is increasing the challenges that confront the industry.
In addition, producers are faced with increased costs, additional rules and regulations and the potential of animal diseases that can decimate their production and processing activities.
In a lead up event to VIV China 2014 we look forward to you engaging with us at this important event - Aquatic China 2014.
