International Milling Directory
Newsletter - July 2013
|
Dear Valued Subscriber and IMD Reader
TO OUR READERS - The 2013-14 IMD will be the most comprehensive yet! It is now featuring over 1300 listed companies within the worldwide milling industry, listing their products and services in one convenient place. This is the FIRST Milling Directory servicing that serves the global milling industry and should not be confused with others that try to replicate our content.
What makes us different, and even unique, are the added sections and guides we add each year and our attention and constant, annual updating of listing every year which we ask all our companies to comply with.
We don't list individual companies ourselves, but ask companies to register themselves. Registering and listing is free-of-charge, so you can be sure that these companies are keen to do business with you. Let me know if you would like a copy of the up-coming IMD.
TO OUR ADVERTISERS - As you know that the deadline for the IMD is getting closer and you don't want to be excluded from this Buyers Guide do you? To list and/or update your entry please visit the IMD website and click the registration button. It's as simple as that to get started.
An entry in IMD means we market your products and services more widely than any competing directory in our sector. For example, we went to all the events that matters to millers in 2012-13 to distribute copies of the IMD and we also invest heavily in distribution to those shows we do not attend personally. We are partnering with all the world's important events organisers in order to get the IMD into the right hands. That's much more than our competitors do. We are also connected with miller organisations worldwide. All if that's not enough all your products are place in digital format in our IMD application and you're listed in our Event Register at the shows you are exhibiting.
Don't let this opportunity slip by. If you have not listed you company in our directory please hurry and get in touch with our Directory Co-ordinator, Tom Blacked at tomb@perendale.co.uk.
List the shows you are planning to attend
Please be aware that companies listing in the IMD will shortly be able to identify the events they will be attending so that their company information and product range shows up on the PPLAPP Event Register, giving attendees an advanced view of milling related companies they should visit when they attend. We will inform you when you can update you listing to ensure your attendance by show is listed!
Demo our Mobile App
Have you seen the Perendale application for mobile phones yet? If not, why not try our online demo - in your web browser. We have even given you a 'virtual' iPad and iPhone to test it on!
The demo will give you an idea of what the web application does and why every industry professional should have the entire Milling Directory and more (for example, if you're listed and exhibiting at one of our recommended events you will appear in the Event Register with both your company details and product range) in their pocket.
view the demo here The application is free, and can be installed on your mobile by visiting
on your smart phone or tablet.
Nobody does digital in the milling industry better than us!

A word from the Directory Coordinator

Tom Blacker

Hello to all members of the International Milling Directory.
This e-newsletter is being sent at a busy time for the International Milling Directory.
July has seemed a long month but we were happy to attend a couple of events since I last wrote this. The International Milling Directory was distributed at Cereals near Lincoln (large review feature of Cereals will be in the next issue of our sister publication Grain & Feed Milling Technology; July-August issue) - the largest arable exhibition in the UK, and we also managed to attend and disseminate editions all 2 days at The Livestock Event near Birmingham.
We are always wanting to distribute these in person and hear great feedback. The time to pull together all the changes for the new print edition is here so as a reminder, go to www.internationalmilling.com/login.html for logging in to renew your membership now!
