Beth O'Leary Receives Catechetical Award!
St. Patrick Church in Fayetteville Will Host Award Presentation
On Sunday, September 21, 2014, Beth O'Leary of St. Patrick Church in Fayetteville will receive the 2014 Mary Dowling Master Catechist of the Year Award. Among the adjectives attributed to her in the recommendations submitted were "innovative," "energetic," "enthusiastic," "inspirational," "dedicated," "knowledgeable," "deeply faithful," "cheerful," and "generous." Based on what we saw in those recommendations, we would also add "inexhaustible" because she has certainly done a great deal in support of Marriage and Family Life in the greater Fayetteville area! This year, we are pleased to commend Beth O'Leary for all the remarkable work she has done in her many years of ministry at St. Patrick Church and School. |

Confirmation Dates Announced
Confirmation Retreat Dates Still Needed
Please check out our link for the 2014-2015 Confirmation Schedule which has been provided by the Office of Divine Worship. Several candidates in Confirmation I and Confirmation II programs are already looking for retreat dates. We have been unable to accommodate them because we have heard from so few parishes before today's deadline to turn in the information. If you have your Confirmation retreat dates set, please send the information to Diane Quintal so we can pass on the information to those in need of options outside their parish retreat dates. |

Christopher West
"At the Heart of the Gospel"
Since he first discovered John Paul II's teaching in 1993, Christopher West has devoted himself to sharing its life-transforming message with the world. In this workshop for priests, deacons, religious, and Parish Catechetical and Youth Ministry Leaders, Christopher leads us into the depth of Christ's "nuptial union" with the Church, demonstrating how authentic Catholic teaching on the body and sex saves us from both the libertine perspective of popular culture and the cold puritanism that has sometimes infected Christianity. In the process, he provides a blueprint for reaching our sexually broken world in the "new evangelization." This workshop will be held Friday, July 25, 2014 at St. Michael the Archangel, Cary from 9:45 am until 2:00 pm. Click here to register! |
