Racine Art Museum is excited to partner with Milwaukee Ballet for a first of its kind collaboration in Racine County. Through Sunday, visitors to RAM will able to view costumes on display from three popular Milwaukee Ballet performances.

These stunning sculptural works complement the museum's summer celebration of exhibitions featuring fantasy, fairy tales, and storytelling, and in particular, RAM's exhibition Once Upon A Time: Fairy Tales, Fantasy, and Contemporary ArtThe show features artists that use a variety of media and techniques to craft stories about what we all have in common as humans. The artists' imaginative works employ exaggerated, surreal, perplexing, or dreamy scenarios rooted in the traditions of fairy tales, legends, and myths.

Each Milwaukee Ballet costume is a work of art, reflecting the pieces in RAM's wearable art collection that also convey ideas through time-tested craft-based processes.
