Boldly Claiming Our Territory
We have declared that 2015 is the year that we are "Claiming Our Territory". Therefore, here at The Life, we are off and running for there is no reason for delay. When something belongs to you there is no need to wait for permission or to seek approval from anyone to go after it. Once God says that it belongs to you, it belongs to you. "For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us." (2 Corinthians 1:20). Now all we have to do is boldly take our possessions.
We are boldly claiming our marriages, family and children! We are boldly claiming our health and well-being! We are boldly claiming our finances and resources! We are boldly "CLAIMING OUR TERRITORY!" Are you prepared to fight if necessary to claim what is yours? Well we will fight alongside of you by providing you the spiritual and ministerial support that you need.
There are so many ministries and programs to help you succeed in your walk with Christ all you need do is get involved. We are excited about our Marriage Mentoring Ministry, a new component of our Married for Life Ministry. Sometimes it is not counseling that married couples need but mentoring from other couples who have strong marriages that have stood the test of time. We have also launched our health ministry that focuses on healing and wholeness of the body, soul and spirit. Financial Peace classes are starting soon make sure you enroll now. Millionaire's Unleashed, our wealth and entrepreneur ministry is starting up now.
We are a "Do Something" Church. And with your support and participation we can and will do so much more!
I hope to see all of our married and engaged couples at the Couples Valentines Dinner on February 13th. Check out The Life's Facebook page and website: www.thelifedc.org for more details.

MARRIED FOR LIFE
Is Love Enough in Marriage?
Pastor Ron Jones
I have been re-reading this book entitled "Love and Respect". In my opinion this is one of the best marriage enrichment tools on the market. I would like to share a thought and start a little dialogue.
How many of you agree with the statement "all you need is love?" Since I love a good survey I created two surveys and sent to twenty of my associates at work. A national survey conducted in 2008 says that 5 of 10 marriages are ending in divorce because love alone is not enough.
My quick one question survey was simply "As it pertains to marriage what is more important to you Love or Respect?"
My survey revealed that 9 of 10 women said that love was more important to them in marriage and almost the complete opposite was revealed for men 8 of 10 men said respect was more important.
Ephesians 5:21 says, submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. I simply submit that if men were to love their wives as Christ loved the church they would ultimately receive the respect they so deeply need. Now this works both ways ladies if you respect your husband and reverence him as lord you would get the love you so deeply need.
We have heard many sermons and bible studies on love so we usually have a great comeback for anything dealing with love. So let me turn the tables a little what if the husband does not deserve to be respected? Is respect earned? Or should I say "Is respect conditional or unconditional in marriage"?
Please continue the dialogue with others or you can even send me an email at email@example.com. These are some of the topics to be discussed this year during our Married for Life Ministry and Marriage Mentoring Ministries. For more information on the meeting dates for these ministries please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please come out and support our first Married for Life event for 2015 for a pre Valentine Date on Friday, February 13th 7:30pm - 10:00pm, Spotsylvania Conference Center (Spotsylvania Mall), 3102 Plank Road, Fredericksburg VA 22407. The cost is only $50 per couple, please register online.

DAUGHTERS OF DESTINY
DAUGHTERS OF DESTINY HOST
Have you held a conversation with your child or student on sexual assault and dating violence? Do they know the basics of sexual assault, such as the cycle of violence and behaviors that can place them and their friends at greater risk at being victims? If you answered "No" to any of these questions, The Hive Community urges you sign your student up for a "Bee" Equipped Workshop.
According to the most recent college campus study on sexual assault in 2012, there were nearly 4,000 reports of forcible sex offenses on college campuses nationwide. But college is not where it begins. One of out of four females will be sexually assaulted by age 18. Also, one out of six American adult women has been the victim of an attempted or completed rape in her lifetime. For young women to reach their full potential as leaders, they must also be equipped to handle every area in their life, especially personal safety.
That's where the Hive Community Circle steps in. The "Bee" Equipped Workshop is an educational awareness program for female high school upperclassman and college students that aims to heighten their awareness of sexual assault. The Daughters of Destiny Ministry has partnered with the Hive Community Circle to provide this interactive, 2-hour session provides participants with the basic knowledge and understanding of sexual assault, risky behaviors that can increase victimization and victims' rights and local services. The workshop will also teach the students tools for living a healthy campus and social life. After completing the session, students will receive a certificate and be ready to stand up against sexual assault and reduce their chances of victimization.
For more information please contact Minister Ashley Thomas @ firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.thehivecc.org.

MATTERS OF THE HEART
February Health Ministry Session
In Psalms 61, David cried out from a far place "when my heart is overwhelmed lead me to the rock that is higher than I." Proverbs 4:23 admonishes us to "Guard your heart with all diligence, for from it flows the issues of life."
What's overwhelming your heart today? How are the issues of your life impacting your heart?
This month, we'll be discussing Matters of the Heart--- how our life's issues and our emotions impact our physical well-being and our heart health. Whether you suffer from physical "issues" like high blood pressure, heart failure, or high cholesterol or emotional "issues" such as depression, fear, or a broken heart, Jesus our Rock wants to heal you. The anointing for healing all matters of the heart will be present. Come join us for an intimate time with Jesus, the Healer of the brokenhearted. Your heart matters! Let's Be in Health in 2015!
