As valued members of the Safety Group Program presented by Better Business Bureau and sponsored by Pinnacol Assurance, we want you to be aware of substantial changes being made to the program.
These changes are a result of Pinnacol revamping all safety group programs in Colorado and putting new requirements in place. This means some current policyholders will no longer meet rigorous new eligibility standards. Program changes took effect Jan. 1.
It is our belief that an improved safety culture is paramount in creating a sustainable and respected program that is stable and has measurable value for our Safety Group members. Our group has a two-year transition period to meet the new requirements.
To remain eligible for the safety group program, members must meet the new program requirements, which include:
- A lower loss ratio threshold;
- Mandatory annual attendance at two approved safety trainings;
- Program eligibility based on annual evaluation of claims management and safety programs; and
- Onboarding visit by BBB representative.
All individual members who remain eligible for the program will receive a discount and will remain eligible to receive dividends.
Pinnacol is committed to making our new Safety Group Program a long-term success. We will work closely with Pinnacol and agents representing the program to ensure regular communication with you throughout this transition.
