Inspiring Action - "Start with Why"
Ever notice how some leaders just inspire others whenever they speak? They make it look so effortless. Fortunately, inspiration can be honed.  Simon Sinek has a simple but powerful model for inspirational leadership, all starting with a golden circle and the question, "Why?"

Fascinated by leaders who make an impact in the world, as well as by companies and politicians with the capacity to inspire, Simon Sinek discovered some remarkable patterns in how they think, act and communicate. He explores this idea of the "Golden Circle," what he calls "a naturally occurring pattern, grounded in the biology of human decision making, that explains why we are inspired by some people, leaders, messages and organizations over others."

How "Why" Affects Alignment

Starting with "Why" also affects team alignment - one of our offerings and a passion for us.  The "Why" of an organization is crucial to both Mission and Vision, which are foundational for effective and aligned organizations and teams.

As Stephen Covey, author of 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, wrote, "'Begin with the End in Mind' means to begin each day, task, or project with a clear vision of your desired direction and destination, and then continue by flexing your proactive muscles to make things happen."

The enVision AlignmentTM process starts by examining the mission and vision of an organization.  All members of the organization need to have the same answer to the question "Why?" in order to be aligned with each other.  That shared understanding is absolutely fundamental to a high performance culture and to business results.
