The Empty Way
Online CALL course on Contemplative Christianity and Zen Buddhism this fall

From September 21-November 9, the Rev. Brian C. Taylor teaches "The Empty Way," an online continuing education course about Contemplative Christianity and Zen Buddhism. Both traditions "teach a particular way of being: an openness to life as it is, compassion towards others, and freedom from anxiety-producing habits of mind," writes Taylor.

Online Learning with CALL
Fall courses begin September 21

Join CDSP online this fall for new courses from the Center for Anglican Learning and Leadership (CALL):

Eucharist: Food for the Soul, Fuel for Action with the Rev. Kirsten Snow Spalding

The sacrament of Eucharist engages our bodies, our minds and our emotions in a holy opening to God's grace. But what does the Eucharist mean for the rest of the week? Learn more and register online.

 

 

 

Catechumenate: Adult Christian Formation with the Rev. Dr. Melissa Hartley

The catechumenate is a process for adult Christian formation dating back to the early days of the Church. This course will examine the history and principles of the catechumenate and explore ways to develop a catechumenate program today. Learn more and register online.

 

 

The Anglican Approach to the Bible with Professor Donn Morgan

This course explores the central role of the Bible for Anglicans. We will study the distinctive ways Anglicans have used and interpreted scripture and the ways scripture has shaped and formed Anglicanism. Learn more and register online.

 

 

 

Introduction to Homiletics with the Rev. Dr. Linda Clader

This course is open to all students who want to develop or practice their preaching skills. Students will learn and practice a basic approach to the sermon-writing process and more. Learn more and register online.
SeeCDSP in 2016
Plan now for prospective student visits in February and March

Our annual SeeCDSP events are for aspirants to holy orders and seekers. Once prospective students arrive in Berkeley, we provide lodging, meals and hospitality. Participants can attend a class, meet with professors and talk with other students in discernment. Families are welcome and encouraged to attend. 

 

In 2016, SeeCDSP takes place on February 3-5 and March 2-4. Prospective students can indicate their interest on our website. Questions? Talk with Director of Admissions Andrew Hybl at 510-204-0738 or via email.
