Summit Land Conservancy wants to help you stay informed about decisions being made that can impact our local environment, open spaces and neighborhoods. The Project for Deeper Understanding will be hosting a discussion surrounding Congressman Bishop's Public Lands Initiative and the relationship between conservation of our environment and economic development. Details specified below.

Public Lands Initiative   
 
WHO: The Project for Deeper Understanding, is a team of citizens dedicated to creating events in which people with differing perspectives on important issues can meet for respectful dialogue and information sharing. Their mission is to educate the public as they fight cultural polarization & misunderstanding. 

This panel will include: 
Fred Ferguson, Rep. Jason Chaffetz' Chief of Staff
David Garbette, Staff Attorney at Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance
Juan Palma, Chief Conservation Officer at Hispanics Enjoying Camping, Hunting and the Outdoors
John Rupple, from the University of Utah Law School
Casey Snider, Legislative Director for Rep. Rob Bishop 

The discussion will be moderated by Summit County Councilman, Chris Robinson. 


WHAT: A Community Discussion regarding the Public Lands Initiative.  

WHERE: St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 4595 N. Silver Springs Drive, Park City, UT 84098.   
 
WHEN: Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.

YOU: Want to know the issues surrounding Bishop's statewide Public Lands Initiative? Will it protect Utah's wilderness lands? Will it promote economic development? Who will win and who will lose? Can the right balance be found? Come Listen and Ask a Question at 8:00pm when the moderator will invite the audience to join the conversation. 

Summit Land Conservancy knows you all live full lives and has sponsored the KPCW live broadcast of the event, so if you can't make it to St. Luke's you can listen from your home or car.
