Living With Wildlife Open House
BACKGROUND: We have had many human wildlife interactions from the neighborhood bears, to the mountain lions, and elk herds. Wildlife management falls under the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources and they have noticed locals are concerned about lack of tolerance for living with wildlife.
WHO: Utah Division of Natural Resources, Wildlife Resources.
WHAT: DWR will be hosting an open house to give residents of western Summit County information on building tolerance for wild life and management of wildlife. This event will give DWR a chance to understand resident perspectives and, educate residents about wildlife management techniques and needs. Also in attendance will be staff from Hogle Zoo and Wild Aware Utah. Topics will include:
o Techniques for living with wildlife
o Transplant and relocation policies
o Public and pet safety
o Moose and elk management plans
o Predators
o Feeding wildlife
WHERE: Richins Building, 1885 Ute Blvd, Park City, Utah 84098
WHEN: Wednesday, January 27, 2016, 6:00-8:00pm. Open house set up, come and go as you please between those times.
