Change in Leash Laws!
Calling all volunteers! If you love dogs and/or recreating on Round Valley open space, WE NEED YOU. On January 7, Park City Council unanimously declared 1,400 acres of land in Round Valley as a designated off-leash area. The decision will go into effect on Friday, January 15, as a pilot program. This weekend, Summit Land Conservancy staff will hang out at several Round Valley trailheads to help educate the public about the change in leash laws and what dogs and their owners need to know. We are looking for several volunteers to act as ambassadors on behalf of our organization to help with passing out educational materials and spreading knowledge about the new off-leash ordinance. You can find us at the Cove, Round Valley Way, and Old Ranch Rd. trailheads from 11-2 pm, on Saturday and Sunday. If you (and your leashed pooch) would like to join in the efforts please contact caitlin@wesaveland.org to learn more about how you can help.
Be proud to be a good user and help others be good users too!
