Trees are the Answer
Park City Rotary Giving Tree Festival

This year, Park City Rotary will host The Giving Tree Festival supporting over 30 Summit County nonprofits. Each nonprofit organization will present beautifully designed holiday trees and tree-sized decorations, and all participating groups will receive 90% of their tree's profits. The event will take place over the course of two days with an activity for everyone! On November 27 there will be a public family-friendly preview from 12-5 pm featuring jolly, old Saint Nick. Later in the evening a private, invitation-only showing will take place from 5-7 pm. Purchase tickets to the live auction November 28 and enjoy dinner and drinks while bidding on your favorite tree!

Summit Land Conservancy is very excited to present a unique piece designed and created by the talented artist, Daniel Bell of the Yeti Collective. The tree, which we have titled "Where the Sidewalk Ends"(because...open space begins where the sidewalk ends!), is made of recycled skis and will look great on anyone's front lawn. RAMP Sports has generously donated a pair of skis to our lucky winning bidder who gets to take home this work of art and be the envy of their neighborhood. Go check out our tree in person, and make sure to bid or vote on this one-of-a-kind creation!

Open space is better with trees, and trees are better in open space!

Pull up a Chair and Save Land
 EpicPromise Chairs for Charity

Kickoff the 2015/2016 season by celebrating all the great organizations that make our community special! Park City Mountain has donated chairs from the late Motherlode chairlift to be used in EpicPromise's Chairs for Charity event supporting 18 local nonprofits. Each nonprofit will present artistic chairlift transformations which will be featured in a silent auction. Community members can swing by the new Kimball Art Center between December 7 and 10 to cast their vote for their favorite chair design, and the nonprofit organization with the most "community votes" will receive an additional financial gift from EpicPromise. Summit Land Conservancy will be exhibiting a chair that has been transformed into an original chairlift "bed" by the very multi-talented Mary Beth Maziarz. "I Dream of Open Space" is a real hanging bed that can be suspended from your bedroom ceiling. Imagine slipping away into dreamland while floating in this amazing piece of furniture! Don't forget to vote, bid and save land at Chairs for Charity! To learn more, visit www.epicpromise.com
