November 2015
The Giving Tree Festival

This holiday season, the Park City Rotary will host the first Giving Tree Festival supporting more than 30 local nonprofits. The event will be held at the National Ability Center Barn on November 27th and 28th, and will feature trees designed by many of Park City's beloved nonprofit organizations. Summit Land Conservancy will be presenting a unique tree crafted by one of Park City's talented local artists. We are looking for volunteers to help our Development Manager promote our tree and the organization both days of the festival. If you are interested in participating in this new, fun, community-centered event, visit our SignUpGenius page and pick up a shift!
Calling All Mailing Experts

As the year comes to a close, Summit Land Conservancy is gearing up for our year-end mailing. We are looking for a couple stellar addressers, stuffers, and stampers to help us the second week of December. (Yes, I believe "addresser" and "stuffer" are real words.) Join us as we gather around the grand conference table in our new office! Space is now plentiful so come one, come all! For more information please email caitlin@wesaveland.org.
"Conservation Alert" Writer Needed

Are you looking to make a meaningful impact in your community  through conservation outreach? As more and more development threatens Summit County and Park City, it is difficult to know when and where to voice your opinions against the advancing growth. Summit Land Conservancy is looking for a wordsmith to help create a Conservation Alert E-Newsletter that will solve this problem. Imagine having all the important information you need right at your fingertips! A volunteer will work alongside our knowledgeable Conservation Director to craft this publication. The job will involve reading and dissecting County and City agendas and highlighting the relevant hearings and meetings that pertain to our local communities. If you would like to be the curator of our Conservation Alert, please email erin@wesaveland.org.
Other Opportunities

Kids Outdoors
Free play in nature is the most common influence on the development of adult conservation values, yet it is vanishing from children's lives. Kids Outdoors restores nature play and connects our local youth to the land. Volunteer as a Play Naturalist, and inspire a future conservationist! Learn more and sign up here.

Office Helper
We are always looking for extra hands to help around the office with administrative duties. This is a great opportunity to build your resume, meet new people, or get involved with a great cause. Learn more and sign up here.

Recycle Fridays
Free time on Fridays? Want to enjoy some sun while doing some good? We need someone to help us with our recycling efforts every other Friday! Learn more and sign up here.

Don't forget to check your email every second Friday of the month for our monthly Volunteer Newsletter!
