LIVE PC GIVE PC: Christmakwanzakah for Nonprofits

On November 7, 2014, Park City celebrated the 24 hour day of giving: Live PC Give PC.  The Park City Community Foundation helped 70 Park City nonprofits raise over $1,000,000 from 2,755 donors, beating their 2014 goal! Summit Land Conservancy is proud to have placed 3rd on the charts, raising $35,923 from 464 unique donors. We would like to send a big THANK YOU to all the people who chose to donate; especially all our volunteers! Your donations and open space "votes" helped us achieve our personal goals, AND win an additional $1,000 grant from the Park City Community Foundation for a top three finish. Your dollars guarantee that we can continue doing what we love; saving land!

We would like to give a special shout out to our Social Media Ambassador volunteers for spreading the Boot Guy love on Facebook, and Clint Brown for volunteering at our two "honk and waves" at McPolin Farmlands and the corner of Park Avenue and Deer Valley Drive. We appreciate the enthusiasm despite the chilly temps in the wee hours of the morning. Help from volunteers like you ensure the success of events such as Live PC Give PC!

Year-End Ask Volunteers

We are looking for a few volunteers to come into the office on December 8th and 9th to help with our Year-End Ask. This job will involve folding, stuffing, addressing, and stamping envelopes to send to major donors. These may not sound like the most exciting duties, but they are more fun than you think! It is essential to have extra hands around the office to help with administrative jobs so that our staff can stay focused on saving land. If you are interested in volunteering for this position, please email caitlin@wesaveland.org to inquire. We thank you in advance for your service!

Hoppy Hour Delivers!

On October 23rd, Summit Land Conservancy hosted Hoppy Hour - a party at Wasatch Brew Pub, showcasing Clothing Hoptional, a tasty beer brewed with wild hops harvested from open spaces protected by the Conservancy. The celebration had a great turn out, and people enjoyed throwing back a few pints while saving land. The event helped to raise around $1,500 for the Summit Land Conservancy while raising awareness about protecting Summit County's open spaces.

If you did not get the chance to try our unique ale, or you did and would like a special souvenir, Clothing Hoptional t-shirts are now available at MTNRANKS.COM for $23. We are excited to be a part of this special collaboration with MTNRANKS, as they are a local company with a passion for anything that inspires and empowers exploration outdoors. Ten dollars from each shirt purchased will be donated back to Summit Land Conservancy!  Paper bag koozies with our one-of-a-kind beer label and name are also available for purchase here. Now you can enjoy any cold beverage in open space, while supporting Summit Land Conservancy!

We would also like to send out a big THANK YOU to Sue Gordhammer for volunteering to check guests in at the door for this super fun event. Your service helped the party run as smooth as butter... or should we say beer?
