Hops Hunters Harvest!

Summit Land Conservancy's Hops Hunters Program is winding down. With surging interest throughout the summer, we have successfully located wild hops on land protected by the Summit Land Conservancy. In the near future, we plan to use these hops in a special edition open space beer with Wasatch Brew Pub. Not only have we been hunting for hops, but we have also been learning how to identify native and noxious flora while keeping our eyes and ears peeled for wildlife.

Harvesting our hops at the right moment will be our biggest challenge. When harvest time arrives, we will only have a ONE OR TWO DAY NOTICE to rally our volunteers, so stand by for updates! We will need a lot of human power!

Hops Hunters hike leader, Heleena Sideris.

SPECIAL THANKS
Thank you to all our Hops Hunters participants. It has been a fun experience getting out on our properties searching for wild hops populations with you!

Thank you for your support!

Keep your calendars open for our Moon Shine Party fundraising event that we will be co-hosting with the Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter on September 9th! In addition to tasty local food and brews, there will be a silent auction and opportunity drawing with some fabulous items that everyone can enjoy! The talented and favorite local band Lash LaRue will be performing live, so be sure to bring your dancing shoes. It will be a great time, and you won't want to miss it!

We still need volunteers for a variety of positions. Help us put on a successful event so we can save more land! If you are interested, please visit our SignUpGenius page to learn more.
