We are looking to our volunteers to make this a successful event. Without our volunteers, great public events would not be possible. We thank you in advance for your willingness to participate and are happy to have you on board. Volunteers will get a free ticket to the event, a ticket for a friend, snacks provided by Allgood Provisions and the first 15 will receive a $5 giftcard to Squatters!
SYRCL's Wild & Scenic Film Festival is a call to action! The films illustrate not only the challenges facing our planet but the work communities are doing to protect the environment and the places we love. The stories give us a sense of place and what it means to be responsible stewards of the earth.
From a story about a boy catching his first fish to a visual poem about the joy of air, from a recreation of a legendary 1906 expedition to a profile on a National Geographic Adventurer of the Year, from a hilarious, tongue-in-cheek examination of the plastic bag problem to a visually stunning exploration of a river that has not kissed the ocean in years, these 13 films will inspire, educate and challenge you and, quite possibly, change your world.
