Summit Land Conservancy // Volunteer Newsletter
Transforming Our
Volunteer Program

With a new volunteer coordinator, we are working to engage and inform our volunteers more frequently. We are hopeful to send out a brief message each month highlighting the volunteer needs of the Summit Land Conservancy. From hunting for hops on weekly summer hikes and identifying flora and fauna on local easements, to helping out around the office, your efforts are critical to our organization's success. If you see something you would like to do email Carly Ferro or click on the links to sign up for activities!

Call For Volunteers

We are looking to our volunteers to make this a successful event. Without our volunteers, great public events would not be possible.  We thank you in advance for your willingness to participate and are happy to have you on board. Volunteers will get a free ticket to the event, a ticket for a friend and possibly a few more surprises!

SYRCL's Wild & Scenic Film Festival is a call to action! The films illustrate not only the challenges facing our planet but the work communities are doing to protect the environment and the places we love. The stories give us a sense of place and what it means to be responsible stewards of the earth.

From a story about a boy catching his first fish to a visual poem about the joy of air, from a recreation of a legendary 1906 expedition to a profile on a National Geographic Adventurer of the Year, from a hilarious, tongue-in-cheek examination of the plastic bag problem to a visually stunning exploration of a river that has not kissed the ocean in years, these 13 films will inspire, educate and challenge you and, quite possibly, change your world.
