Love UT Give UT brings together all of Utah for 24 hours of giving.  It is an opportunity to recognize and support the many hard-working organizations that make Utah great. Although the Summit Land Conservancy will not be participating, we are highlighting like-minded organizations, outside of Summit County, dedicated to promoting the well-being of our environment.  If you like birds, rivers, sustainable education, skiing, hiking, and fun ways to be outdoors with your family, these are organizations to support.

HawkWatch International is a non-profit organization dedicated to the education and conservation of raptors and our shared environment. HawkWatch is working to protect raptors (hawks, eagles, owls and other birds of prey) through research and public education. HawkWatch's research
projects monitors raptors throughout their entire life cycle, in order to track their health and population trends. They use the best available data to guide their conservation efforts and partner with various stakeholders to conserve raptors and their habitats.

We love sharing our raptor knowledge and inspiring new generations of conservationists and biologists! Our education and outreach programs reach more than 25,000 individuals in schools and community centers each year. Our migration data is used to teach students about biology and statistics in real world examples. Hawkwatching field trips get people outdoors and connect them with nature as we teach about raptor ecology and identification.

Bear River Land Conservancy's mission is to conserve and enhance private lands for wildlife habitat, working farms and ranches, land and trails of recreational or historical significance, watersheds, and critical vistas, using conservation easements and sound management, to benefit the people of northern Utah, today and in perpetuity. "In perpetuity" requires a very high standard of management and professional stewardship. With your help, this can be a reality.
We will have achieved our goals if future generations take the protections we secure now for granted.

BRLC will use funds from the Love UT Give UT campaign to protect the lands we're entrusted with, to work on new land protections, and to establish permanent funds to ensure those protections into perpetuity. And perpetuity is the name of the game

The Ogden Nature Center is a 152 acre nature preserve and environmental education center located in the heart of Ogden. Much loved for 39 years by an appreciative community,

the Center is mainly funded by donations and grants.

Every year thousands of visitors participate in educational programs, community events, or come to simply wander the trails and connect with nature. One of the Nature Center's

main attractions is a live exhibit of birds of prey and other animals native to Utah. Each year, over 47,000 people benefit from all the activities the Ogden Nature Center has to offer.

Our programs continue to be in high demand in the community. Learning is fun as young minds become immersed in the natural world. By offering children exploration of open spaces and solid nature education from trained naturalists, a curiosity and connection with nature develops and good stewards are born.

Friends of Alta's mission is to protect the environment of Alta, including watershed and wildlife habitat areas; the preserve Alta's unique character and heritage; and to encourage stewardship and sustainability of Alta's environment and community.  Friends of Alta is a local land trust that has been
working since 1982 to purchase private undeveloped land in Alta and utilizes conservation easements to protect them in perpetuity.  Additionally, Friends of Alta funds scientific investigations of Albion Basin's alpine areas to encourage sound decision making in this special area.

Friends of Alta's shared love and enjoyment of Alta environment and community is both a privilege and responsibility. Your financial support is truly an investment in Alta, a place for recreation and re-connection to nature among wild animals, wildflowers and deep powder snowfields.

Utah Society for Environmental Education's mission is to provide support, resources and networking to Utah's community of educators.  In the service of professionalizing environmental education (EE), we provide workshops, certifications and conferences for teachers throughout the state, delivering programs that model quality EE content and pedagogy.  We believe in teaching Utahans how to think, not what to think, about the environment

All the money raised through Love UT Give UT will be directed toward programming and will support our teacher workshops, state-wide EE conference and the national accreditation of our certification program.  Funds from this campaign will also be used to promote and expand the Utah Green Schools Program - a nationwide awards program recognizing schools that incorporate sustainability into their facilities and curriculum.

Summit Land Conservancy appreciates the strong environmental community that makes it possible for us to Save Land and protect the Open Spaces we enjoy.  Support Environmental Organizations this Love UT Give UT and help in maintaining the places we play, live and look to for our vital resources that allow us to maintain our high quality of life here in Utah.
