SUMMIT LAND CONSERVANCY BIO BLITZ 2013
 Hi friend!

We had a great time at last weekend's Bio Blitz with HawkWatch International! Thanks so much to those of you who made it out, and for everyone who was unable to come, we hope to see you at our next birdwatching event!

A few highlights of the morning: We saw 30 separate species of birds and 39 different plants, removed a patch of invasive Dyer's Woad from a cycling trail (special thanks to Emily, Jacob, and Rob!), learned that, according to one bird book, the poor Brewer's sparrow is described as having "a blank expression," and celebrated the future of conservation with some great environmentally-minded Girl Scouts!

We're planning to host another birdwatching event along the Weber River in August, so keep your eyes open for upcoming e-mails! You can also like us on Facebook to stay updated on events and news-we'd love to be your friends!

Here's to roaming wild in our beloved open space!
