Denise Balkas relocated from the Denver metro area to Oklahoma City to become the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Operations. She has held several director level positions in planning, economic development and real estate in high growth and distressed markets in Colorado and New York. Her areas of expertise include large-scale land planning and development, military base closure and redevelopment, oversight of several federal funding programs for housing and economic development revitalization, multimodal transportation planning and nonprofit real estate development. Throughout her career, she has held numerous leadership positions on nonprofit and civic boards including the Executive Committee of ULI Colorado and Co-Chair of its Transit Oriented Development Committee. Denise holds a master's degree from Cornell University in City and Regional Planning.
