Florida Insurance Commissioner Says No to NCCI Proposed Hike
Florida Insurance Commissioner Kevin McCarty denied NCCI's 1% proposed annual rate filing increase in workers' compensation insurance rates for 2014. However, he said he will approve a 0.7% hike if NCCI refiles for that. Read More

Delaware: Small State, Big Workers' Compensation Challenges
Delaware is in a dither about its workers' compensation rates and system, and perhaps rightfully so. For such a tiny state, Delaware seems to have a mess on its hands regarding how it addresses workers' compensation. The rating bureau says workers' compensation rates need to go up by 40% in 2014 but, hey, we'll settle for less than half of that. Read More
