WCC Testifies on School Mascot Bill
The WCC testified for information on Senate Bill 317, which would make various changes to the complaint process for objecting to a school board's use of a race-based nickname, logo, mascot, or team name. The Senate Committee on Government Operations and State Licensing passed the bill by a vote of 7-4. The Assembly is scheduled to vote on it on October 15.
