JFC Removes Rent-to-Own Exemption

On a bipartisan 10-6 vote, the Joint Finance Committee voted yesterday to remove the rent-to-own exemption from the state budget.  Thank you to everyone who contacted their legislators to urge this action.  Please take a moment to thank the following JFC members if they represent your district.

AB-216. Abortion Services (Jacque) Prohibits the group insurance board from contracting for or providing abortion services and exempting religious employers, religious organizations, and religious institutions of higher education from contraceptive insurance coverage.

AB-211. Child Placement (Kleefisch) A presumption that equalizing physical placement to the highest degree is in the child's best interest. To Family Law.
