WELLNESS
A basic definition of wellness is: "an active process of creating and living your best life; being your best self; feeling generally content with who you are and the life you are living." It encompasses a healthy fostering of these 6 dimensions: mental, emotional, physical, social, environmental, and spiritual well-being. Next 6 issues I will delve into each dimension!
POSTURE ALIGNMENT
Why is posture so very important?According to Southern California Orthopedic Institute, "Good posture entails disturbing the force of gravity through the body so no one structure is overstressed." Gravity is always pulling on our bodies. Good posture is our foundation for our joints to handle stress efficiently. You want to be aware of how your weight is being distributed over your joints. Too much or too little in one area of the body increases risk of chronic injury and/or acute injury.
Quinoa is now being served as a side dish at Bonefish. It is quite yummy!!
For the Northern Virginia locals: Whole Foods at Fair Lakes has THE best fresh seafood restaurant!! Best and freshest salad without any crappy stalk or filler lettuce. No tipping is allowed and the fish is awesome!!!
