Jack Gare looks like your typical teen. He enjoys basketball, music, and hanging out with his friends. As a 16 year old high school sophmore in North Florida, he is maintaining good grades in honors level classes. He plays on the Junior Varsity basketball team. His future is bright and he is on the right track to get into a good college where he plans on studying business and law. With all of these things going for him, Jack knows that there is so much more to do and experience in life. Namely, he wants to start making a difference now rather than waiting to do so later in life.
As such, he formed a business called Shoe Shine Mobile. Jack will be operating the business during school breaks, summer, and weekends. He will continue to dedicate his time to his studies and extracurricular activities.
The goals of Shoe Shine Mobile are as follows:
Go to customers and provide the best shoe shine in town for just $5.00; and
Provide free shoe shines to military veterans at job fairs.
As noted by Jack, "It is certainly nice to earn money but it means so much more to be able to use some of the money and resources to reach out and show some respect to military veterans who have served our country well." With great enthusiasm, Jack also stated, "I look forward to being of service to many and providing each and every customer from CEOs to job hunters the best shoe shine that I can provide."
When starting his business, Jack contacted the Good Deed Brigade to let us know that he was going to do his part to make a difference. Jack, a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, has that certain attitude and drive that make him a well rounded person. Well done Jack Gare! If you reside in Duval County or St. Johns County, contact Jack Gare for your mobile shoe shine.
