One of the working titles to this article was as follows: "My Personal Friendship with Oprah Winfrey". This working title would have been a better attention grabber but it is somewhat misleading. As such, I went with a more general title for this article. I have been very fortunate to have gained the friendship, trust, and respect of a person who reminds me of Oprah Winfrey.
As our friendship has grown and solidified over the years, I eventually began calling this good friend by the name of "Oprah Winfrey". Wouldn't it be nice to be friends with Oprah Winfrey or some other influential person, leader, or celebrity? The answer to this simple question is "Absolutely." While I am not friends with the Oprah Winfrey that you may have all heard of, I have my own Oprah in my life who absolutely deserves the name and respect that goes along with it. Through the years, I have represented over 100 people who are related to or who are close friends with my Oprah including her best friend who happens that have the same last name ("King") as the best friend of the other Oprah.
My Oprah believes in the spirit of helping people including family members, good friends, and new friends. She is a matriarch in her family, a team leader at work, and a good friend to many. It has been my pleasure through the years to be part of my Oprah's ongoing mission to help people.
This Thanksgiving season, I wanted to express my thanks to family, friends, and, yes my Oprah Winfrey. Hopefully, you are also blessed this holiday season to have your own "Oprahs" in your life. Happy Thanksgiving.
